Fun Sunglasses
I am obsessed with how cute Goodr sunglasses are. They’re polarized, inexpensive, and come in so many cute designs. For an extra outdoor bonus, buy a national park pair. If you’re looking for gifts for outdoorsy girls, these are a great option.
Buy Goodr Sunglasses: Around $25
National Parks Puzzle
For times when outdoors-lovers aren’t out in nature, they can do this 1000 piece puzzle instead. Dreaming about being outside is also nice.

Bandana / Buff

Buffs are great. I’ve been wearing them for as long as I can remember.
Buffs serve a lot of purposes. They: Come in fun colors. Cover your hair when it’s dirty on day 3 of backpacking. Absorb sweat. Look cute. Keep your ears warm. Are easily packable/lightweight. Soak up snot if you wear them around your neck and wipe your nose with them. And they can be worn around your nose/mouth if it’s super cold.
Because they come in different designs, you can buy this for someone even if they already own one.
Kula Cloth
I feel like these are a relatively new thing because I had never heard of them until recently. They’re reusable antimicrobial pee cloths. Instead of packing toilet paper in and out or trying to drip dry and then hike in sort of wet underwear, you just use this cloth! It then dries, can be reused, and then you wash it after your hike/backpacking trip. Awesome.
Buy Kula Antimicrobial Reusable Cloth: $20
Solar Lantern

Solar Lanterns are awesome because you can leave them in the sun to charge (you can also plug it in to charge it before heading into the wilderness). You quickly inflate them with your own breath and then have an extra light for your campsite. I got mine as a gift and use it during every camping trip. It wasn’t something I would have thought to buy for myself, so it was a perfect gift.
Buy LuminAid Solar Camping Lantern: $30
Something from 928 Design Studio’s Etsy Shop
If you’re buying gifts for outdoorsy girls, why not buy them from a fellow outdoorsy girl? Amie is a Colorado-based creator who has done a custom wood engraved design for my kitchen. She sells different things with mostly nature-based designs. Cutting boards, jewelry, hats, etc.

AllTrails Pro Subscription
AllTrails is amaaaazing. The app is so helpful for hiking/backpacking/biking. You can read reviews, get directions to trailheads, see maps of the trails, GPS yourself in real time on the trails so you don’t get lost, and you can see recent trail conditions. The Pro Subscription is worth it (this is one of the few apps that I have a paid version of), so it’s a great gift if someone doesn’t have it already.
Buy AllTrails Pro Subscription: $36 for the year
National Parks Scratch Off Poster

This is one of those fun gifts for outdoorsy girls that someone might not buy for themselves, but they’ll love it. I got mine as a gift, and I have scratched off the parks I visited. An Outdoor-Themed Book
If the person you’re buying for loves to read, get them an outdoor-themed book. Some books that I have loved:
- Born to Run – A Hidden Tribe, Super Athletes, and The Greatest Race the World has Never Seen. You don’t have to love running to appreciate this well-written book. If you do love running, it will inspire you to run farther.
- Into the Wild – A true story about a young man who abandons his normal life and is eventually found dead in the Alaskan wilderness.
- Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster – A true story about Everest’s deadliest season. Absolutely fascinating.
- Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail – Yes, the Reese Witherspoon movie is based on this memoir.
- The Wilderness World of John Muir – There’s something about sitting at a campsite reading John Muir that is just magical. His writing on nature is extraordinary, and this book can be read over time because it’s a collection of his stories.
- Solo: What Running Across Mountains Taught Me About Life – Jenny Tough is incredible, and so is her writing.

Rain Pants

Rain pants are amazing. These are pretty lightweight, they fit over leggings, and they are worth buying for a lot of reasons.
You can obviously wear them when it’s raining. They’re also great when it’s cold and you need an extra layer. I love that I can sit on the dirt while camping and just brush my butt off.
A huge bonus, though, is that they prevent mosquito bites. My friend and I backpacked to an alpine lake that was home to 120000 mosquitoes. She’d been unable to find her rain pants before the trek and only had leggings on. The next morning, her butt was covered in mosquito bites, and I was bite-free on my legs/butt.
Buy Columbia Surge Rain Pants on Amazon: $60 (often on sale!)
Eno Hammock
Toddlers also enjoy Eno Hammocks 🙂
I don’t know how they make Eno Hammocks so comfortable to lay in, but man they’re relaxing. Eno Hammocks are easy to set up with the straps – you just need a couple good trees. You can sit, lay, and even sleep in them. They’re also super compact, so they’re easy to bring along on any outdoor adventure.
Buy Eno Hammock + Straps from REI: $55

Chacos
I live in my Chacos every summer. They are so comfortable, they’re great for camping/hiking – especially if you have any stream crossings, and you can wear them with socks if you buy the ones without the toe loop. They’re a great thing to bring on backpacking trips because you can get out of your hiking boots at the end of the day to wear these. If it’s cold, just keep your socks on.
They’re also cute and can be worn with many different outfits. Sundresses included.

If the person you’re buying for is really adventurous – like backcountry skiing or solo backpacking adventurous – consider getting them an emergency satellite communicator. They’re pricey, so it’s a great gift if you can afford it. This garmin one is lightweight, has a 14 day battery life, and can SOS call with a subscription.
Buy Garmin inReach Mini 2: $400 (sometimes on sale!)
Coros Pace 3 Sports Watch
I recently did an absurd amount of research on running/sports watches. For a really good watch, this is the cheapest one you can buy. I’ve been using it for a while now, and it is awesome. The charge lasts a long time, it’s cute, the GPS is accurate, you can change the background of the watch, it tracks so many different activities, it tracks your sleep, and the app that goes with it is great.
As far as gifts for outdoorsy girls go, you can’t really beat this one.

REI Gift Card

Every time I enter an REI store, I want to start 7 new outdoor hobbies. It’s an inspirational place and makes everyone want to spend more time outside. If none of these other options were good gifts for outdoorsy girls, this is your best bet. Then they can pick out exactly what they want.
Something Personal
Think about what this person really enjoys. Are they into rock climbing? Maybe get them a nice chalk bag. Are they into running? Get them a gift card for new running shoes. Do they love camping? Look into new camping gear. What about gardening things? The best gifts are the thoughtful ones.
